ASAN aims to provide people with autism a way to advocate for themselves, as other Autism-awareness groups tend to spread misinformation and don't have many people with autism within the organization. ASAN is run by people with autism, with the purpose of spreading a positive message about autism, as autistic people have been heavily misrepresented.
